Caring for Life 2024
As a part of the celebratory activities for the University’s 30th anniversary and staff engagement activities, we are pleased to announce that an event namely “Caring for Life 2024” will be held to foster an inclusive campus with mutual respect and to promote Life and Values Education:
Date: 2 February 2024 (Friday)
Time: 2:00 – 5:00 pm
(A Kick-off Ceremony will be held at 2:00 pm)
All staff members are welcome to join the event. Subject to maintaining the essential services of Departments/Offices/Units, Heads are encouraged to release their staff to join the event. For the interest classes and workshops under d) and e) above, due to the limited capacity, prior registration is required. Enrolment platform for those interest classes and workshops will be available in separate email in early January 2024.
* Pet Fun Fair
The Pet Fun Fair is a collaborative event jointly organised with the SPCA. Colleagues are most welcome to bring their pet dogs to the campus and take part in the following specially designed activities :
Doggie Yoga
Under the professional guidance of an instructor, the owner can have a taste of yoga practicing with his/her dog, fostering a close bond, understanding and patience between them.
Pet Care Understanding Talk
This special talk focuses on the basic understanding of pet care needs, covering dogs, cats, and small animals.
Simple Dog Health Check
The SPCA Vet will provide a simple health check for your dogs including the body, dental, ear and nail conditions.
*Participants must agree to the terms and conditions as outlined in the Participation Rules and Agreement at the online enrolment platform and sign an Undertaking Agreement prior to joining the activities.
Due to the limited capacity, colleagues who are interested in joining the Pet Fun Fair are required to enroll at here by 15 January 2024 (Monday). To better prepare the participating dog owners, SPCA will conduct an online briefing (~1 hour) at 3:00 pm on 22 Jan 2024 (Mon). Successful participants will receive a confirmation email in due course.
