General Education Foundation Course (GEFC) seminar: Professionalism and Professional Ethics
One guest and two EdUHK alumni were invited to speak at GEFC seminars. Mr Chow Ping-yan (Former Principal of W F Joseph Lee Primary School) Dr Yim Chi-shing (Principal of Munsang College, Hong Kong Island, and Alumna of EdUHK), and the Hon Ms Lillian Kwok Ling-lai (Member of the HKSAR Legislative Council and Alumna of EdUHK) visited EdUHK on 11th and 18th March, 2024, respectively.
These two seminars enabled our Year 1 students to understand the values that Legislative Council members and school principals place on public service and education in their respective professional fields. Through conversations with our alumni, the students could gain insights into professionalism from the perspectives of other students, school staff, school management, legislators and citizens. This helped prepare our University students with the knowledge, skills and attitudes to be applied to any profession or role in society.
